Location
Mooresville is in the Piedmont section of North Carolina‚ 30 miles north of Charlotte.
Beginnings
Mooresville was named for John Franklin Moore‚ who arrived on the scene in 1855 and persuaded the Atlantic‚ Tennessee and Ohio railroad to run tracks through the center of town.
